This Is Clapham – hoarding artwork opposite the Common.
One of the most iconic and important areas of London, Clapham Common, has a disused shop that has been empty and unloved for over a decade. At the point where Clapham high street meets the Common is an area called The Pavement and it is a bustling mix of shoppers, tourists and professionals. The local residents love their patch of London and a business community called This Is Clapham commissioned Five Fish to produce and install a mural hoarding that will refresh and rejuvenate the disused premises.
Printed vinyl to aluminium dibond panels finished with anti-graffiti laminate are the main body of the hoarding fixed to a wooden subframe. We repainted the frontage and freshened up the brickwork and for a finishing touch we framed the bottom of the hoarding with astroturf.
